| Traveling abroad this summer? If you plan to use your CFE credit or debit card(s) outside of the U.S. you will want to contact CFE in advance to ensure you have full access to your CFE accounts, and avoid any unnecessary inconvenience. All CFE debit and credit cards are defaulted with a block on foreign country use to prevent fraud. To ensure full access to your funds during travel, contact CFE no more than 30 days and no less than 5 days prior to your travel date. Your account will be noted and your debit or credit card will be released for use while you’re traveling. However, removing the country block does not guarantee that members will not receive a call to verify unusual activity from CFE’s fraud department. CFE will continue regular monitoring of debit, ATM and credit cards for irregular spending and for sudden changes of location. Removing the block only releases the card for use while traveling. The block can also be removed for members making purchases online to international merchants and members planning to live overseas for an extended period of time.
As always, if you suspect that your card is lost or stolen, please contact the Member Service Center immediately.
To prevent or remove a foreign country block from your card, contact CFE’s Member Service Center at 407-896-9411, or 800-771-9411 outside Orlando, option 3 or you may speak to a branch representative. You’ll need the following information:
- Name
- Account Number
- Date of Departure
- Date of Return
- Travel Destination
