The easiest way to open a business account or apply for a business loan is to visit one of our branch locations and have a Member Service Representative walk you through the process. Depending on the type of business you have established, you will need the following documentation to open a business account and/or apply for a business loan:


Business Accounts 

 

Sole Proprietor

  • Copy of IRS Employer Identification Number (EIN) Letter or Social Security Number
  • Proof of active Sunbiz registration
  • Fictitious Business Name Statement (when applicable)

Partnership

  • Copy of IRS Employer Identification Number (EIN) Letter
  • Proof of active Sunbiz registration
  • Fictitious Business Name Statement (when applicable)
  • Partnership Agreement

Lodge/Association/Organization

  • Copy of IRS Employer Identification Number (EIN) Letter
  • Proof of active Sunbiz registration
  • Dated Charter/Bylaws
  • Meeting minutes from most recent officer elections

Limited Liability Company (LLC)

  • Copy of IRS Employer Identification Number (EIN) Letter
  • Proof of active Sunbiz registration
  • Fictitious Business Name Statement (when applicable)
  • Articles of Organization

Corporation

  • Copy of IRS Employer Identification Number (EIN) Letter
  • Proof of active Sunbiz registration
  • Fictitious Business Name Statement (when applicable)
  • Articles of Incorporation

Complete and signed CFE account documentation is required for all business accounts.

All businesses designated as non-profit will be required to provide proof of non-profit status.

Picture ID will be required for positive identification for all business account openings.


Business Loans

Express ($30,000 or under)

  • Member Business Loan Application (provided by CFE)
  • Schedule Business Debt Form (provided by CFE)
  • Completed Personal Financial Statement (PFS) for owner(s) (provided by CFE)
  • Copy of Invoice or Sales Contract (when applicable)

Small Business & Commercial

  • Member Business Loan Application (provided by CFE)
  • Schedule Business Debt Form (provided by CFE)
  • Business and Personal Tax Return - Past 2 years (personal tax return if sole proprietorship)
  • Completed Personal Financial Statement (PFS) for owner(s) (provided by CFE)
  • Balance Sheet and Income Statement (most recent)
  • Copy of Invoice or Sales Contract (when applicable)

 

 

Additional financial information may be required.

Specialized request of $1 million or more will require additional financial information.

All business accounts will require picture ID for positive identification.
